Ramesh, 52 years old, was a filial son to his elderly mum prior to his incarceration. Being the only one among his siblings who has not settled down with a family of his own, he was taking care of his 69-year-old mum and supporting her financially. Ramesh’s last employment was a private hire driver. Being the main caregiver to an elderly who has several medical conditions also put Ramesh in a stressful position, especially at times when he does not have anyone to confide in regarding the problems he had at home. Being at his wit’s ends, he turned to drugs in an attempt to attain temporary relief from his problems.
Since his emplacement in the halfway house in February this year, Ramesh told us how he has reflected on how his life has gone wrong after several wrong decisions. He hopes to make it up to his mum by working on ways to upgrade himself so that he can have a stable employment. In the few months that Ramesh is in the halfway house, he has attended several courses on workplace digital literacy as well as cleaning supervisory one that he completed recently. He hopes to be able to start going for job interviews soon.
Ray of Hope wishes to raise $1,800 ($600 x 3 months) to support Ramesh for the next 3 months until he secures employment. Please give hope and donate to help Ramesh!
*Ramesh is not receiving social assistance.
All the best for your job interviews, Ramesh
Hope you can regain your footing soon!
