The goal of this fundraising project is to support Ray of Hope’s casework and community building efforts, which strive to empower and connect individuals
whom we serve.
Our clients are individuals who live, study, or work in Singapore, including migrant workers, stateless individuals, multi stressed families, whoever is genuinely
in financial distress. Our caseworkers work closely with clients to ensure that the latter have the necessary support, while they seek financial assistance
via campaigns on our crowdfunding platform.
Ray of Hope invites former clients to join our community, as volunteers. This reduces social isolation and build stronger social and community capital,
scaffolding their empowerment and reintegration journey as they dedicate their time through volunteering.
Events and collaborative projects help to strengthen these connections and promote a vibrant, cohesive community. For eg. Building Community
Champions is a volunteer-driven initiative that fosters social cohesion among volunteers from diverse backgrounds. These include students, former Ray
of Hope clients (“community members”), migrant workers, corporate and community volunteers. To date, we have partnered schools, tertiary institutions
and informal groups to run these inclusive activities. We also organize volunteer engagement activities to recognize the contributions of our volunteers
throughout the year.
