During the COVID-19 outbreak in Singapore, migrant workers & certain local communities have been facing the brunt of the coronavirus infections. Familiar food and drink bring much comfort and to a certain extent, spark joy. Singaporeans rose to the occasion to show their care to migrant workers & local marginalised communities. We, at iLite, haveĀ also chipped in by doing what we do best. INNOVATE! iLite is a beverage supplier based in Singapore and we are raising funds to further our Masala Chai project where weĀ deliver Masalai Chai drinks to support migrant workers & marginalised local community.
Masala Chai is an indispensable part of their lives and contains ingredients such as cinnamon, clove, ginger, black pepper and cardamom, which are known for their traditional health benefits. iLite Masala Chai is also specially crafted with Vitamin D, which contributes to the normal function of the immune system (especially for this period of time)!
On 30th April, we sent our first batch of iLite Masala Chai to the dormitories via private donors and some caterers; so that on Labour Day, we can celebrate with them.
Our product has reached approximately 12,000 workers living in dormitories.
Target fundraising goal
We started this campaign to allow you to touch lives that have contributed so much to our nation building effort. Every S$10 raised will allow us to send a cup to 45 personnel (Strictly cost-recovery model). Join us to send Masala Chai to 100,000 pax as a form of encouragement to them!
Check out on some snippets of what has been done by us so far:

How can you help?Ā
To further our Masala Chai project, we have set a target of $20,000 to deliver more Masala Chai packets to migrant workers & marginalised local community. This would bring spark joy to many of them as they drink this cup of Masala Chai ā a familiar drink to them.
We managed to recreate a familiar taste for comfort and support for them through Masala Chai! Through many hours of sleepless night, the commercialisation (including Halal certification) took a short span of 17 days! This is a remarkable feat for a commercialised FMCG product, produced in a SFA approved factory. Tremendous efforts from the entire iLite team!
Be the shining light to all the other business owners out there; be creative, be able to transform, and be able to help others! To make society a much more wonderful place to live in.
