My name is Elizabeth Lau.

As a Senior Wealth Management Consultant, I have found a second fulfilling career that offers me a chance to help others in their financial and estate planning journey. I have been a volunteer for over 20 years with one of the Social & Welfare IPC and recently also get into other community volunteer works.

Helping others is a way for me to give back to society and it reminds me to always remember the Chinese words 饮水思源.

Why am I doing this?

To do what little I can for the fund raising to the two group of beneficiaries that our team, Polaris, has identified.

As inflation is running high, there are a lot more families falling into financial difficulties which will need help to tie them over this period of time. For the ex-offenders, I hope they will be given the support to strive for meaningful contributions to society.

Lastly, the pledge to do the 250,000 steps is also a challenge to myself to strive for healthier living. This is definitely not a walk in the park for me as I barely clock 4,000 steps on average daily.

BUT rain or shine, there is no more reason to fall back on the number of steps anymore 😊

My hope for the beneficiaries of this campaign is: Do not lose hope. If you are determined, there is no obstacle too difficult to surmount!
