FarmPack for Good 2024
The Local Farm Farmpack for GOod 2024
At The Local Farm, we proudly spearhead the Farmpack for Good campaign, driven by our unwavering commitment to purpose-led initiatives and our mantra: “No Farmers, No Food.”
With our steadfast belief that farmers feed families, we recognize the invaluable contribution of farmers. With this understanding, we have joined hands with our esteemed charity partner, Ray of Hope, along with corporates and individuals alike, to champion a cause that transcends mere charity—it’s about building a sustainable ecosystem of support.
The core of Farmpack for Good lies in its dual impact—social and economic. Through the generosity of our donors, we raise crucial funds to assemble nutritious farmpacks. These farmpacks, brimming with fresh produce sourced directly from local farmers, are then distributed to underserved families across Singapore. It’s not just about filling stomachs; it’s about nourishing souls and fostering a sense of dignity.
What sets Farmpack for Good apart is its holistic approach. By supporting this initiative, our donors become catalysts of change. They not only extend a helping hand to those in need but also play a vital role in sustaining our local agricultural ecosystem. Through fair compensation to farmers, we ensure that their essential work is valued and upheld, creating a ripple effect of prosperity within our farming communities.
Together, we stand as a formidable force, united in our mission to drive positive change and fortify the bonds of our society. Farmpack for Good isn’t just a campaign; it’s a testament to the power of collective action and the resilience of a community that cares. Join us in this journey of hope, where every Farmpack signifies not just a meal, but a brighter future for all.
About Ray of Hope
Ray of Hope’s mission is to build a stronger community in Singapore. A key pillar of our support is through providing short-term financial help to people who have no other means of assistance. Beyond crowdfunding, we also work with partners and donors to provide additional support to multi-stressed families — in this case, to ensure that they have access to fresh produce.
Since April 2023, we have partnered The Local Farm (TLF) to raise awareness and mobilise support for underserved families in our community, and for local farmers. TLF has been supplying Farmpacks to underserved families since 2020, through corporate and individual sponsorship. To date, TLF has supported over 2000 beneficiaries with quality FarmPacks. Each Farmpack is intentionally curated and locally sourced to include nutritious farm-fresh produce that families can enjoy.
This is Ray of Hope’s second consecutive campaign with TLF, which will run until 31 December 2024.
100% of your donations through Ray of Hope goes to people in need. We do not take a cut from the funds. We even cover the 3rd party credit card charges, if you choose not to, that other crowdfunding platforms deduct from your donation for campaigns.
100% of all campaigns are also fully verified, so you know your funds goes to real people with real needs.
We take donor accountability very seriously – with yearly audited accounts and strong governance in place to ensure that your donations is properly channeled to the beneficiaries.
Ray of Hope is Singapore’s only crowdfunding charity, institution of a public character (IPC), and member of the National Council of Social Service.
About The Local Farm
The Local Farm aims to bring the goodness of local farms closer to our communities. As a purpose-led and sustainability-focused organisation, The Local Farm provides communities with farm-fresh food at fairtrade and builds meaningful connections between local farmers and the community. We do so through a wide range of Farm-to-Table experiences including FarmPacks for a Cause, The Local Farm Bistro & Grocer, Ready-to-Eat Products, educational programmes as well as our The Local Farm Festival and weekend markets.
The Local Farm Festival is an expanded version of our regular weekend markets. Through the Festival, we aim to broaden our reach, provide a wider range of quality farm-fresh produce, and foster collective support for our communities. The Local Farm is proudly owned by Gardenasia.
