Mr Christopher Loh has close to 20 years of experience in the financial planning industry. He is currently a Financial Services Manager with PIAS, one of the largest, most respected and fastest growing networks of financial consultants in Singapore.

Being in the financial industry for this period, I have witnessed how poverty is a barrier to success for many families. There could have been more people who could have grown to their full potential, prospered, and contributed. Many more potential doctors, scientists, professionals could have been added to the society if the poor are given a leg up. Fewer criminal would have been a potential result if an alternative life style is more achievable.

There are many ex-offenders who are still stigmatized by despite repaying their debt to the society through serving their time in prison. While we need law and order, there could be more compassion to those who are truly trying to mend their ways. We need to give a chance to those who truly want to make a difference.

It is my personal belief that everyone deserve a chance to be integrated into society and not fall between the cracks. While the starting line in life of everyone will never be the same, let us try to give a little help in our ways to help them preserve their dignity.
