A Life Interrupted

On August 25, 2024, Kartik’s world came to a screeching halt. A devastating motorcycle accident left this hardworking young man fighting for his life, facing injuries that would challenge even the strongest spirit. Kartik has always been the embodiment of hard work and responsibility. As a cleaning supervisor, he took pride in managing teams, maintaining high standards, and ensuring client satisfaction. But his life changed in an instant when the accident left him fighting for survival.

The Battle Begins

Kartik’s struggle started with emergency surgery and 16 gruelling days in the ICU. 

His injuries are severe:

– A critical spinal cord injury requiring complex surgery

– Multiple fractures in his spine and ribs

– A serious chest condition threatening his ability to breathe

Each day brings new challenges, but Kartik faces them with unwavering determination.

A Family’s Struggle

Kartik’s sister, Jeva, shares the difficult reality of his current situation:

“Yesterday I safely bring back my brother to JB but the hospital say they cannot admit him. We can only go for follow up there, so I manage to put him at old folks home temporarily because at home I have no proper equipment. At the same time, I am also finding suitable bed for him, so if I get it ready, I want to bring him back home… I don’t want him to be at Old Folks Home.”
