“Dear Friends and All Donors (including those who chose to remain Anonymous),

My family and I want to thank all of you for your generous donations to the fund. I know many of you  have your own financial challenges during this downturn in economy but you still give to the fund. No matter how big or small the amount, me and my family appreciates everyone’s contribution. If not for all your help I will not be able to settle the hospital outstanding amount.

It has been 3 months since Suma had passed on and the fundraising campaign is ending in 11 days. I still think of her every day and the painful memories of seeing her in hospital stays fresh in my mind. I have been in close touch with Suma’s daughter and her family is still grieving over her.

Noticing that the fund is coming in slowly and it seems no way for it to reach the targeted fund,  I approached social worker in TTSH in early June to seek help to appeal to hospital to reduce the outstanding bill, explaining my current situation to them. However, there was no guarantee from them that the appeal will be approved. I also informed them of the crowd funding from Ray Of  Hope. I was  praying and waiting for social worker to come back to me with the outcome. Thank God that my appeal was finally approved and the outstanding amount is greatly reduced to $16,558.95. It is truly a miracle and I am so grateful for this.

With this coming to a closure,  it is such a relief to me and my family.
