Zixuan, 35, is a mother fighting to keep her family together. In August, her world was turned upside down when her husband walked out, leaving her alone with their two young sons, ages 6 and 1. On top of the emotional shock, Zixuan was left to manage the debts he left behind, and the full weight of caring for her children fell squarely on her shoulders. For Zixuan, her boys are her world and she continues to remain resilient, fighting hard to provide for her family.

Mira: A Mother’s Breath of Hope

Every breath is a battle for Mira’s children. With three out of four kids suffering from chronic respiratory conditions, this devoted mother faces a heart-wrenching daily struggle. Six-year-old Ida has faced six lung collapses in the past year, while her eldest awaits surgery for sleep apnea. Mira has exhausted her leave and now faces unpaid time off to care for her children.
