The case workers have been updated that Mr Muniasamy has received S$4,000 from his lawyer. He has also been repatriated over the weekend after receiving his compensation. We understand that the compensation is likely to be insufficient for the family’s repayment of debts as well as their living arrears, hence Ray of Hope will continue to fundraise for his family. All donations raised will be remitted to Mr Muniasamy via the migrant worker advocacy organisation.
